Take a Break from Using IE if You Can

There is a flaw in IE that could allow criminals to hack into your computer and steal your passwords. Yeah that is what you call a serious flaw! The flaw was detected in IE7 but Microsoft says it is a vulnerability in all versions of the web surfing software that a majority of the world’s web users still use. Apparently hackers found the vulnerability before Microsoft did which is not good. This flaw has already compromised over 10,000 sites since its discovery.

Here are a few articles that explain the situation well

    Linux is a safer alternative to MS and IE.

    Linux might be safer, but until my mom can install it, connect to a wireless network, browse windows computers without dropping into a command line. Linux is not an option. Shouldn’t take 3 days to make wireless work on a computer. Install windows, install wireless card, windows downloads drivers, connect to your network. I’m a linux fan myself but…until they make it support games like windows, and hardware like windows. Forget it.

    @Kaos:

    For me, Linux was much faster and easier to install than Windows. I only had to restart once, Windows took two, the wireless worked better than in windows, probably the OEM’s fault, and samba worked out of the box, it required a third restart with Windows. My Linux distro also came with a decent browser and ant-virus software pre-installed. :P I did this without using the command line.

    You got me with games. A few games work on WINE pretty well though. :)
